Announcements

Posted January 15, 2024:

All classes are canceled on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  One of the main heaters is not working.  We will resume classes on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Posted January 31, 2023:

As stated in the homeschool and tutoring contracts, the holiday schedule is tentative.  This announcement is to inform you that Easter break will be changed to April 10 - April 14 instead of what was listed in the contract.  There will be no classes from April 10, 2023, through April 14, 2023.  The calendars and contracts on this website have been revised to reflect this change.

As of now all classes will meet as scheduled.  If you feel that it is unsafe to attend, then you should not attend.  Check this page before leaving to come to class tomorrow.  Any cancellations will be posted here.

Homeschool classes begin August 10, 2020.

Posted April 28, 2020:

Homeschool classes will resume Monday, May 4th. In order to make up the recently cancelled classes, the school year will be extended to June 11th. To incorporate the governor’s recommendations for “non-essential businesses” we will be making a few changes – the most pertinent is that class times will be shortened by 10 minutes to reduce congestion between classes and to allow for cleaning. The new class times will be as follows:
8am – 9:50am
10:20am – 12:10pm
1pm – 2:50pm
3:10pm – 5pm.

I ask that students arrive on time and leave after class with no loitering. Finally, remember that it is your right and responsibility as a parent to decide if it is safe for your child to resume classes. If you choose to wait an additional week or two before sending your child, please let me know so that I can adjust the schedule.

Thanks,
Chris G. Devillier, Ph.D.

Since the stay-at-home order has been extended by the governor to April 30th, our current plan is to start classes on May 4th and extend the school year to June 11th. Students who are scheduled to graduate this year will be contacted in order to make additional arrangements to ensure that they graduate on time.

Effective immediately, all classes, including homeschool classes, S.T.E.M. Academy classes, tutoring classes, and A.C.T. prep. classes, are suspended as per the "Stay-at-Home" proclamation issued by Gov. Edwards.  Classes will resume when the order is lifted, presumably April 13th.  The holiday schedule will be changed so that the break for Easter precedes Easter, which is April 12th, and will thereby fall within the "Stay-at-Home" order.  So if the order is actually lifted on April 13th, classes will be held on the 13th.  A makeup schedule will be determined once classes resume.

The office will be open tomorrow from 10am to 2pm if you need to come by for any reason.

Report cards are available today.  If you are unable to pick it up today, we will hold it at the front desk until that time when you are able to do so.

At this time, we have no intentions to cancel classes due to the coronavirus.  We will continue to monitor the situation.  We will post any new announcements here and on our Facebook page.  As always, if you deem it unsafe for your child to attend classes, you are the final arbiter on such matters.
